About me
I live in Australia with my Aussie wife and teenage son in the beautiful island state of Tasmania. I’m originally from Canada and have also lived in the US for many years.
Our family includes a tiny, adorable Italian Greyhound called Luna who loves snoozing under a blanket on the sofa. If we’re lucky, she’ll wake up and come and say hi while we’re working together.
I’m an avid nature photographer and particularly enjoy discovering the amazing birdlife here in Tasmania.
Photography keeps me grounded in the present moment, in its beauty and stillness. This awareness is the backbone of how I live and what I bring to my clients.
I’ve had enough spins around the sun to know that life brings both pain and joy, and it’s our ability to respond in the present moment that determines whether we suffer or shine.
I learned this from having cancer in my 40s. After my procedure, I had to endure tests every three months for three years to see if the cancer had returned. It took that long to get an all-clear.
At first, every day felt like a death sentence. My life was on hold because the next test result could tell me the cancer was back and my life was likely over. Death was sitting in the chair beside me and I could’t avoid it.
In my eyes, I had no future, and thinking about the past was a waste of time. So I was forced to become more and more aware of the present moment.
That’s all I had left.
But it turned out it was everything.
The stark truth of death being close changed me and my priorities.
I saw how precious life was when my thinking wasn’t trapped in the past or future.
And time was - and is - the only important thing.
This is why I’m devoted to healing and awakening the human spirit, helping people shine instead of suffer, and expressing their love and gifts into the world.
